Apollo Electric was founded in Houston in 1963 by Bobby M. White. Today we’re a full-service electric motor and generator shop, a generator set builder and unitizer, and one of the most cost-effective traction motor remanufacturing shops on the Gulf Coast. From our 51,000 sq ft facility, we rebuild, test, and supply equipment for oilfield, rail, and industrial customers across the U.S. and abroad.
Most shops do one piece of the job. Apollo Electric handles all of it under one roof. We rewind and rebuild generators and traction motors, unitize engines and generators into complete power packages, and load test every set before it leaves our yard. With one of the largest inventories of reconditioned equipment on the Gulf Coast, we can often ship what you need now instead of weeks from now.

We stock generator ends from 40 kW to 5,500 kW from Kato, Caterpillar, Marathon, Leroy Somer, Stamford, Newage, and more, in voltages from 208 V to 13,800 V.
Yes. In many cases we can reconfigure the existing windings for a new voltage. If that isn't possible, we can rewind the generator to your required voltage and power output.
We carry GE 752 (R, AR, and RB) and EMD D79 oilfield traction motors, plus GE 761 and EMD D77/D78 locomotive traction motors.
Yes. We carry power transformers from 112.5 kVA to 8,400 kVA from GE, Westinghouse, Ward, Hammond, and EVI, along with Siemens 5 kV medium-voltage switchgear.
